Biography

Sue started painting in 1995.

Studies include workshops with many nationally known artists – Skip Lawrence, Frank Webb, Jeanne Dobie, Joe Mayer, Stephen Quiller, Virginia Cobb, Louise Cadilac, Katherine Liu, Lana Grow, and Don Black. Additional art courses at The Art League, Alexandria, Virginia also were taken.

Paintings have been juried into shows with the: The Vienna Arts Society, The Reston Art League, Florida Keys Watercolor Society, and The Arts Council of Fairfax at GRACE. Additionally paintings have been exhibited at the Newman Gallery in Washington, DC, The Vienna Arts Society Gallery, The Ratner Museum, Bethesda, Maryland, and many private collections.

Sue grew up in Toledo, Ohio, currently resides in Reston, Virginia, and spends the winters in the Florida Keys. During the rest of the time, on most Fridays you will find her happily paintings with the “Friday Painters” in Shepherdstown, WV.
